Attendance grows for Farmers Day Out Races
PERFECT weather greeted racegoers who flocked to Terang Racecourse for a day which combined racing and industry networking.

The Terang and District Racing Club hosted the Terang Co-op Rural Store Farmer’s Day Out Races last Friday, with early estimates suggesting the best attended event yet.
Terang and District Racing Club president Janice Harris said among the highlights was a charity auction for an ownership stake in a Henry Dwyer-trained horse.
“The auction raised $12,000, which was really good,” she said.
“Usually it’s around $6000 but this year training fees were included, so that was a fabulous result for Myeloma Australia.
“Our guest speaker, Maria Moloney, was really well received – I think being a local girl from Garvoc and hearing how she made it through to the AFLW was really good.
“It was a really good turnout from the crowd – there seemed to be more this year and the weather was on our side.
“It was a really good day of racing, with one horse winning at about 100-to-one odds – I’m not sure too many people would have been on that.”
