Bloods make league squads
FIVE Terang Mortlake junior netballers have been listed in Hampden League squads for this year’s association championships
The league will send five underage teams to the Western Zone Championships, to be held in Ballarat on Sunday, June 2.
This will include teams in the under 13, under 13 reserve, under 15, under 15 reserve and under 17 divisions.
The league’s Open team has automatically qualified for the Finals Day in Melbourne, to be held on Sunday, June 16.
Bloods’ players Lara Clarke (under 17 championship side), Lyla Grundy and Pippa Barr (under 15 championship) and Maddie Clarke and McKenzie Dillon (under 15 reserves) will all wear the bottle green in Ballarat.
Hampden League head of netball Dot Jenkins said she was really excited about the talent that will be representing the league in Ballarat.
“The talent in each of the teams is a testament to the strong coaching and junior development these players are receiving from their clubs,” Jenkins said.
“It is a great opportunity for our players to test themselves at the next level, and the championships also acts as a talent identification process.”
