Bookaar bowlers on point
BOOKAAR scored a six wicket win over Camperdown last Saturday in round 12 of the Colac-South West premier cricket competition.

Camperdown won the toss and elected to bat first at SA Wright Oval, dismissed in the 32nd over for 155.
Fraser Lucas dismissed Camperdown danger man Jye McLaughlin on the first ball of the match, with the Pelican bowlers on top from that point on.
Charlie Lucas was the pick of the bowlers with 4/22 from eight overs over two spells.
Bookaar comfortably chased down the Lakers’ score in 26.2 overs for the loss of four wickets.
The consistent Simon Baker led the way; the opener making an unbeaten 65 from 90 balls, hitting eight fours and a six, with Albie Cheeseman making 37 from 47 balls.
The win sees Bookaar up to third position on the ladder, with the Pelicans playing Simpson at Simpson tomorrow.
In division two, the top of the ladder Pelicans had a four wicket win over Cobden at Frederick St.
New ball bowlers Jeremy Lucas and Nathan Moran delivered a devastating opening spell to have the visitors reeling at 5/15, before recovering somewhat to post 134, bowled out in the 36th over.
Lucas took 3/10 from six overs, with Moran taking 2/10 from eight.

Bookaar passed the score in the 27th over for the loss of six wickets, with openers Stephen Fitzgerald and Luke O’Neil making 35 and 32 respectively.
In tomorrow’s game, the division two Pelicans play Boorcan at Frederick St.
The under 16 match at Frederick St on Sunday saw Bookaar lose to Pomborneit by 48 runs.
Pomborneit posted 9/164 batting first, with Elijah Bradbury taking three wickets and Arlo Herry and Xander Kent two each for Bookaar.
In reply Bookaar was bowled out in the 33rd over for 116.
Jimmy Cheeseman top scored with 39 from 77 balls, with Xander Kent making 22 and Oscar Pyle 19.

This Sunday Bookaar’s under 16s play Cobden at Cobden.
In the under 13s on Monday night, Bookaar had a 29 run win over Ecklin at Frederick St.
Nash Kent and William Sinnott both reached the 20 run retirement mark in the home team’s 6/114.
Ecklin replied with 6/85, with Bronte Fitzgerald taking two wickets.
This Monday Bookaar has the bye.
Wednesday night’s senior women’s match was washed out, with the top of the ladder Bookaar women set to play their final home and away match this Wednesday against Ecklin at Ecklin.
In the under 17 girls last Friday night, Bookaar had a 43 run loss to Pomborneit at Frederick St.
Pomborneit batted first and made 2/150 from their 20 overs, Charlotte Hinds the best of the bowlers with 1/25 from four overs.
In reply Bookaar was restricted to 6/107, with Breanna Daffy making 32 not out.
In tonight’s match, Bookaar host Irrewarra at Frederick St.
