Last Sunday the club held a fundraiser for Mortlake RSL.
Forty-five players braved the elements - which got the better of the day’s proceedings by delivering a downpour before the third game.
Nevertheless, the bowlers were happy to get off the green and inside to try their luck in the raffle.
With 34 sponsors supporting the Mortlake RSL, it was quite the spectacle with lots of happy winners.
At the end of the day, the runners-up for the day with 2 wins +10 shots were Rob Shalders, Heather Webster, Steve Reynolds and Anthony Wood.
They were beaten by just one shot by the winners; with two wins +11 shots.
Congratulations to the winners of the Bill Vale and Frank Carter Perpetual trophy, Darren Grant, Glenice Kenna and Jim Wallace.
A great day was had by all involved and thousands were raised for the Mortlake RSL so it can continue to support families in our district.
A reminder twilight bowls is already underway and if you are interested in playing (either as a player or a team of three), please contact the twilight bowls coordinator Scott or come along Wednesday nights until mid-December.
