Carranballuc too strong for Lismore
LISMORE had an eight wicket loss in its round seven Grenville Cricket Association match against Carranballac.
Winning the toss and batting first at the Lismore Recreation Reserve, the home team was all out for just 85 in the 27th over.
Playing his first match since round two, opener Lachie Constable top scored with 33 from 19 balls, hitting five fours and a six.
Clint Dudman with 17, Jonte Jarred with 14 and Jack Fay with 13 not out were the only other players to reach double figures.
Carranballac made light work of the run chase, passing Lismore’s score in the 22nd over for the loss of two wickets.
Cooper Cahill took both wickets to fall, finishing with 2/21 from his eight overs.
This week Lismore has the bye.
In the under 16 competition, Lismore had a three run loss to Rokewood at Rokewood.
The home team batted first and made 2/83 from their 25 overs, with Jackson Rumler and Jack Fay picking up a wicket each.
Lismore replied with 5/80, with Jack Fay making 25 and Bailey Childs 15.
In the under 12s, Lismore had a 19 run loss to Carranballac at Carranballac last Friday night.
Lismore made 115 from its 20 overs, with Liam Barr scoring 15 and Josh McConachy 12.
Carranballac replied with 134, with Liam Barr, Matthew Wylie and Corey Smith taking a wicket each.
This week’s games will see the under 16s play Derrinallum at Derrinallum on Saturday, while the under 12s host Rokewood at Lismore tonight.
