Celebrations for hockey club
SOME of Corangamite Hockey Club’s youngest stars recently celebrated the end of the Camperdown Mod competition and Hookin2Hockey season.
Saturday, June 27 marked the end of the season, with a round robin tournament, annual meeting and end-of-season presentations.
The club thanks all players, parents, carers, team minders, umpires and committee members who turned up every week (regardless of weather conditions) to help ensure the season was yet another successful and enjoyable one.
All players should be proud of how much their skills, confidence and teamwork developed throughout the term.
Each team minder presented a coach’s award to the player (or players) who demonstrated outstanding growth, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the season.
The 2026 coach’s award recipients were:
Blue – Izaak Wilson; yellow – Gracie Trezise; green – Conner Dixon; purple – Clea Sinclair, Archer Wurlod and Landon Roberts.
Thankyou to Lachie who returned once again to umpire all matches this season, and to Jess who joined him this year.
Both have done a fantastic job not only umpiring but also helping teach and encourage all young players throughout the season.
The 2026 umpire’s awards were presented to Lexie Lucas and Noah Brian.
Congratulations also to all Hookin2Hockey participants who, under Erin’s guidance, developed their hockey skills, learned new game play, and built their confidence.
They wrapped up the season with a fun match on the big field against their parents and guardians which brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and great hockey on display.
