A ‘hopping’ good time: The Camperdown and District Community House are making final plans for this year’s Family Fun Day.

The Family Fun Day, now in its sixth year, will provide family-friendly fun with outdoor games, craft activities, a barbecue fundraiser and other activities for the Easter school holidays.

Camperdown and District Community House coordinator Emily Mercer said she was hoping for a turnout similar to last year’s event, where between 80 and 100 people dropped by for a bit of fun and games.

“We encourage everyone to bring along barbecue and picnic supplies, and a fundraiser barbecue will be available from 11.30am until the close of the event,” she said.

“We will also have tickets available for purchase for our current raffle to raise funds for the community house.

“There will be outdoor games, craft activities and fund for the whole family.

“A big thank you goes to all of the community volunteers who help prepare for the day and will be helping to run activities on the day.

“Special thanks go to Peter James and Benallack’s for their support that will be allowing us to have a special visit from a furry Easter friend.”

Elizabeth Casey, one of the volunteers who will help out with the Family Fun Day, is looking forward to the event.

“It is always a great day, we all have a wonderful time,” she said.

The Family Fun Day will run from 10.30am to 1.30pm on Friday, April 12.
