Daffy shines for Lismore

LISMORE had the bye in round eight of the Grenville Cricket Association, this week they return to action with a round nine clash against Lexton at Lexton.


In the under 16s, Lismore had a 44 run loss to Derrinallum at Derrinallum.

The home team batted first, making 5/134 from 25 overs.

Breeana Daffy led the bowlers for Lismore with 2/23 from five overs, with Jack Fay, Jackson Rumler and Angus Moyle taking a wicket each.

Fay took three catches during the innings, including one off his own bowling.

Breanna Daffy top scored with 30 from 52 balls in Lismore’s reply of 5/90 from its 25 overs.

Daffy hit three boundaries in her innings.

Bailey Childs was the other main contributor for Lismore, with 15 from 25 balls.

In the under 12s, Lismore had a 16 run win over Rokewood at Lismore on Friday night.

Rokewood batted first and made 82 from their 20 overs.

For Lismore, Rory Dudman, Josh McConachy and Andrew Wylie took a wicket each.

In reply, Lismore made 98 from 20 overs.

Top scorers were Matthew Wylie with 10 and Liam Barr and Andrew Wylie with nine each.

In this week’s junior games, Lismore’s under 16s play Linton at Lismore on Saturday morning, while the under 12s play Derrinallum at Derrinallum tonight.
