As part of the students’ core knowledge and enquiries studies, the Foundation-Year Two classes visited the Camperdown Post Office, the Camperdown Courthouse and the Camperdown Clocktower as part of their ‘past, present and future’ topic.

The students were given special tours by John Hulm and Carol Manifold as well as Jane Hately from the Camperdown Post Office.

Classroom teacher Ness Marshall said students also visited the Terang Historical Society as part of the trip.

“I think they’ve really enjoyed their time,” she said.

“It’s really amazing – sometimes we’d think the kids would get bored with certain things, but they actually really love learning about things from the olden days.

“The clocktower has been a big highlight for some of the kids.”
