Final round of table tennis
THE last round of Terang Table Tennis before the championships has thrown up a number of possibilities of who could challenge Trevor McDowell for the title.

Rob Remarkable won a close battle to record a win against Total Tools.
Two significant matches were the singles match between the Smith’s and the doubles game.
Mark emerged victorious in a nail-biting contest against son Tyler to win 11-6, 9-11, 11-7, 10-12, 11-9.
The doubles saw Tyler and partner Bibek Shahi narrowly overcome Mark and Rob Herry 8-11, 11-6, 7-11, 12-10, 11-9.
Rob Herry won his first singles match against Bibek to help his side to victory.
The top two sides fought out a close contest even though the score line was 4-1 in The Unknowns favour.
Michael Pearson won in three tight games against Colin Venn and Pat Nicholson and the doubles with Peter Mania.
Peter also defeated Pat in the fifth game, coming back from being 0-2 down.
Scores were 10-12, 4-11, 11-6, 12-10, 12-10.
Snapper@Crofts defeated Lefties 4-1 with the final result not being indicative of the evenness of the matches.
Vesha Chapagai won all his singles games with his match against Dan Galea being a tough five gamer, winning 11-9, 12-10, 7-11, 10-12, 11-8.
Lefties Ian Rochfort was his team’s sole winner with a hard fought win in five games against Paul Healey 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 7-11, 13-11.
Paul had an impressive win against Dan and combined with Vesha to win the doubles.
The question now is - who is capable of beating the number one player of the competition this week, Trevor McDowell?
Trevor is unbeaten and has rarely lost a game this season.
Michael Pearson impressed in his recent encounter taking a game.
Mark Smith has been the second-best player this season and potentially if his attacking game is on he could push Trevor.
Tyler Smith is an unknown as his best is good against all the other contenders to make the final.
Ladder: The Unknowns 24, Snapper@Crofts 16, Young@Heart 12, Lefties 12, Rob Remarkable 8,
Nelson 4, Total Tools 4.
