Help shape Cobden’s online presence

PROGRESSING Cobden has invited community members, local businesses, tourism operators, volunteers, sporting groups and more to come together for a community round table discussion about the future of the Cobden.org.au website and Cobden’s broader online presence.

The discussion will be an opportunity for the community to share ideas, provide feedback and help shape how Cobden is promoted and connected online into the future.

Progressing Cobden president Misty Angus said the round table was about bringing people together and encouraging open community conversation.

“Cobden has so many great businesses, groups, events and attractions, and we want to make sure our online presence reflects the best of our community” she said.

“This is really about listening to people – what they love about the current website, what could work better, what information is missing and how we can create something that is more useful, welcoming and up to date for everyone.”

Topics for discussion will include what the website currently does well, ideas for improvements or modernisation, features or information people would like to see added, tourism and visitor information needs, better ways to support local businesses, groups and events online and future vision and long-term sustainability.

The session is open to anyone interested in contributing ideas or being part of the conversation.

“We’d love to hear from a wide range of people across the community,” Mrs Angus said.

“Whether you run a business, volunteer with a local group, help organise events, work in tourism or simply care about Cobden and its future, your perspective matters.”

Expressions of interest are now being welcomed from community members wishing to take part.

People can register their interest by emailing secretary.progressingcobden@gmail.com, calling Kathryn Stubbings on 0412 332 723 or messaging the Progressing Cobden Inc Facebook page.

All ideas and perspectives are welcome.
