Independent slams major party commitments
AN INDEPENDENT candidate for the Legislative Council has called for every dollar of government spending to be reviewed before any new promises are made, saying Victoria cannot afford its political parties’ commitments.
Spend it wisely: Candidate for Western Victoria Eve Fisher has hit out at candidates promising more than the state can fiscally deliver, outlining a policy in which the state government would face a comprehensive audit.
