There was plenty of action on Wednesday, with some close games enjoyed.

Both Mepunga (James Byron, Gayle McPherson, Gerald Madden and Ian Swain) and Scotts Creek (Marlene Page, Pam Rantall, Louise Blair and Neville Robb) had byes in the first round.

Glenormiston (Thelma Miller, Deb Cheslett, Noel Uebergang and Scott Pierce) played Cobden (Doreen Coverdale, Ken Lynch, Claire Reynolds and Joyce Roberts).

After a close contest, and a late comeback from Glenormiston, Cobden took the win 17-10.

The next match was between Camperdown (Lois Johnstone, Roelie Maslin, Les Pearson and Kelvin Rundle) and Timboon Lawn (Jean Clover, Rita Mungean, Pam Dwyer and Noah Mungean).

Timboon Lawn had a good start but by end 10, Camperdown was one down with five ends to play.

However, Lawn put on some great bowling late in the game to take the win, 16-13.

In the semi-finals, Mepunga defeated Cobden 23-7 to book their spot in the grand final.

In the other semi-final match, Timboon Lawn def Scotts Creek 15-11.

In the final, Mepunga played Timboon Lawn and both sides provided plenty of entertainment for those at the game and those watching livestream.

Both teams started off with two shots each in the first two ends and were level at six all by end four.

Scores continued to be locked throughout the game, with both teams playing some good shots.

The scores were again level at 10-all with four ends to play.

Final scores were in favour of Timboon Lawn, 20-11.

Congratulations to the winners, Timboon Lawn; Jean Clover (sub), Rita Mungean (sub), Pam Dwyer and Noah Mungean (s).

Well done to runners-up, Mepunga; James Byron, Gayle McPherson, Gerald Madden and Ian Swain (s).
