Join in with a cuppa for a cause
TIMBOON and District Healthcare Service (TDHS) alongside Lesley Togni are hosting a Biggest Morning Tea in the hospital’s community health room tomorrow (Thursday, May 28) and are encouraging everyone in the community to attend.

From 10am-12noon, the room will be filled with plates of good food, good company and plenty of cups of tea and coffee for all to enjoy while raising money for a good cause.
A Biggest Morning Tea is hosted throughout May to June to raise money for the Cancer Council, putting money towards vital cancer research.
For just $10 entry, residents can enjoy a cuppa for a cause, with door and raffle prizes available on the day.
Mrs Togni encouraged everyone to bring a plate along to share and enjoy the good company.
“I got behind the Biggest Morning Tea because I’ve got cancer and I have friends and family who have got cancer,” she said.
“You’re raising money for a good cause.
“You’re doing something voluntary and what you give you get back.
“I’ve been organising a Biggest Morning Tea with the help of others for three years.
“It’s good, we get a big crowd and we have guest speakers – people who have had cancer and their journeys.”
Among the speakers include Janet Goodall, who will be talking about her journey with breast cancer, and Glenda Walker, who will be discussing her experience as a caretaker of someone with cancer.
“Christie Berry has a lot to do with it as well and she’s good, and the Timboon Hospital as well, they’re very good,” Mrs Togni said.
“Everyone works together – nobody does it on their own because you can’t do anything on your own.”
