Sunday, November 23 marked the celebrations of Cobden Rotary Mini Golf’s 25th anniversary, with free mini golf for all and many other activities for everyone to enjoy.

Also on the agenda was face painting, fairy floss, a sausage sizzle, and even balloon animals.

The Cobden Rotary club predicted up to 150 people visited the mini golf throughout the day, highlighting the success of the event.

Cobden Rotary president Lesley Brown said it was great to celebrate with the community.

“We are very pleased with the day and it’s wonderful to celebrate the 25 years of all the work that’s gone into the mini golf,” she said.

“It’s great to see so many community people too.

“There were people from Melbourne too and they saw mini golf on their Google Maps – they’re camping in the area for three days, so they came along.

“In these times, coming out of drought now, it’s wonderful to be able to support families and the community.”

The day was supported by a grant from Corangamite Shire Council.

Cobden Rotary Club thanked everyone for attending and lifting the spirits of the day.
