New singlets for basketballers
CAMPERDOWN Basketball’s younger players now have fresh new singlets thanks to local sponsors.
Seven teams have been sponsored by six businesses, replacing their older singlets which were no longer fit for purpose.
Camperdown Basketball Association secretary Kellie Kempton said the new round of sponsorship was part of annual singlet replacement.
“We put it out to local businesses to see who would like to sponsor our singlets – we usually get people who have kids playing in the teams,” she said.
“We had a few this year.
“It’s great the local community is still wanting to help us out, even in this climate, and we just try and give them a bit of exposure.
“Next year, we’re looking for sponsors for the under 12 boys because their singlets are too small and getting ratty.
“If anyone is interested in sponsoring in the future, let us know.”
