On the right track: V/Line continued its strong performance on the Warrnambool line throughout April, with a perfect reliability score when all 207 services operated as scheduled.

During April, 93.9 per cent of services arrived at their destination on time, up from 93 per cent in March, and exceeding the 92 per cent monthly punctuality target.

Reliability achieved a perfect score – with 100 per cent of services running as scheduled.

Coaches replaced trains on the Warrnambool Line for the first 13 days of the month and following the return of trains, 207 services operated as scheduled and there were more than 33,000 passenger trips on the line.

“The Warrnambool Line has continued to be one of the top performing lines on the network for reliability and punctuality in April, exceeding both targets for the second consecutive month,” a V/Line spokesperson said.

“April was a busy month on the Warrnambool Line as passengers made the most of extra weekend services to visit family and friends and attend major events over the Easter and Anzac Day long weekends.”

The result marks the second consecutive month – and third time in 2025 – the Warrnambool Line has reached both the punctuality and reliability targets.

Warrnambool Line passengers now have five daily services across weekdays and the weekend following the introduction of four extra weekend services introduced onto the line last month.

Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and make a reservation in advance by booking online, at a staffed V/Line or premium Metro station, by calling 1800 800 007 or by visiting a retail ticket agent.
