Perfect conditions for hockey
CORANGAMITE Hockey’s women’s team had a tough game last week, with only five players and no subs.

It was a big challenge for the players and although they didn’t get the win, everyone showed great teamwork and sportsmanship on the field.
Congratulations to Sally who scored two goals, and to Akeisha, Ava and Taliyah who each contributed one.
The under 18 team played a great game against Technique last Friday night.
The experience and skills learnt from last season really showed - communication and calculated passes resulted in several attempts at the goals.
Noah B scored from on top of the D with a great hit and received the You Rock award.
Final score was a 3-1 win to Technique.
Corangamite’s under 15s played in perfect conditions against the Strikers last Saturday.
Despite their best efforts, the team was defeated 3-1.
Many thanks to Ant for stepping in as coach this week.
The You Rock award went to Noah for his consistent performance week after week and his willingness to play wherever needed.
He also umpired his first game later that afternoon.
In sunny conditions the under 12 Lakers played a great game and although they didn’t win, every player gave their all.
Some unfortunate injuries in the last quarter saw two players on the sidelines, with only three field players left to finish the final minutes of the game.
A huge thanks to Lilly who did a great job as goalie.
The You Rock award went to Lexie for her strong defensive skills in half-back and her perseverance throughout the game.
