Police seek sheep thieves

CAMPERDOWN Police are calling for information following the theft of 30 sheep from a property south of Derrinallum.

By wd-news

Senior Constable Natasha David said the theft is believed to have occurred between 1pm and 6pm on Monday, March 24.

“Thirty first cross merino white Suffolk ewes were stolen from the property’s sheep yards,” she said.

“The ewes are four years old, not in lamb, are a large build sheep between 90 to 100kg and were shorn in October.

“It was apparent that the unknown offender/s had drafted other sheep out of the yards at the time of the theft and concentrated on the stolen ewes by quality.

“We certainly aim to stop further sheep and stock theft.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Snr Const David on 5593 1000 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
