Police urge motorcyclist caution
POLICE are reminding motorcyclists to take care on the road after a motorcyclist drove off the road near Camperdown over the weekend.
Corangamite Senior Sergeant Bill Caldow said the incident occurred at around 4.35pm on Saturday, November 22 on Lake Vullen Merri Road in Camperdown.
“A motorbike ridden by a 36-year-old Terang man ran off the road,” he said.
“Another motorbike rider – a friend of the man’s - was with him and witnessed the incident.
“Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
“The incident is believed to have been caused by rider inattention.
“Please be careful when going around on motorbikes.”
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said an ambulance was also called to the scene.
“Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics assessed and treated one patient at the scene,” the spokesperson said.
“One male patient in his 30s was transported by road ambulance to South West Healthcare Warrnambool with upper body injuries in a stable condition.”
