Put clocks back Sunday

DON’T forget to turn your clocks back this weekend when daylight saving time ends.

By wd-news

Daylight saving time will end this Sunday, April 6 from 2am – giving Victorians an additional hour of sleep to start their week.

Modern phones, computers, watches, alarms and even some vehicle clocks with internet access will automatically change, but analogue clocks and watches will still need to be wound back an hour.

Daylight Savings Time was first introduced in 1916 to assist soldiers during war, and continues to this day to better align society with more usable hours of daylight.

Daylight saving time will return when clocks jump forward an hour on Sunday, October 5.
