Quiet week for Dragons

IT was a quiet week for Boorcan cricketers, with the division two Dragons having the bye and the under 13s washed out on Monday.

Boorcan’s division three hosted Camperdown at Boorcan and went down by 97 runs.

The Lakers batted first, making 2/190 from their 40 overs.

Roger Horspole and Michael Carman took a wicket each, with opening bowlers Alex Deane (0/18 from eight overs) and Tim Castle (0/22 from eight) proving economical.

The Dragons were bowled out in the 39th over for 93 in reply.

Tim Castle top scored with 24 from 82 balls, with father/son duo Michael and Bailey Carman making 15 and 12 respectively.

In this week’s matches, the division two Dragons play Cobden at Cobden, division three play Heytesbury-Princetown at Boorcan while on Monday night the under 13s play Ecklin at Boorcan.
