Regional success in the pool
CAMPERDOWN College students have excelled in the pool, bringing home medals from the Greater Western Region Swimming Carnival.

Sixteen students represented the school at last week’s carnival in Horsham, demonstrating outstanding effort, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Despite the early morning start, senior students Quinn Clark, Sicily Thun, Daniel Stringer-Donnelly, Miller Murphy, Taj Woodmason, Sophie Halliday, Bree Daffy, Hannah Robertson, Olivia Halliday, Maya Smith, Amber Wallis and Katie Hansford were all eager to compete.

All students swam exceptionally well, with Sicily finishing second in both the butterfly and backstroke events, while Daniel placed third in the 100m freestyle, 2nd in butterfly, 3rd in 50m freestyle and 2nd in the 200m individual medley.
The under 17 freestyle relay team – Hannah, Sophie, Bree and Katie – also put in a great performance.
The college’s four junior campus competitors took to the pool in the afternoon.

Congratulations to all swimmers, including the 9/10 year old relay team (Lily Finlayson, Georgie Harrison, Sage Collins and Natalie Corrigan) who finished third overall.
Sage also swam in the 50m freestyle and finished eighth.
