Riordan congratulates new Liberal leader

Member for Kew Jess Wilson was voted in as the party’s new leader on Tuesday, taking the helm from Member for Berwick Brad Battin.

Ms Wilson is the Shadow Treasurer in the Legislative Assembly and was voted into Parliament in November 2022.

Mr Riordan said he was looking forward to ongoing support for his electorate from Ms Wilson.

“The previous leader Brad Battin was a great champion for the Polwarth area,” he said.

“He came to visit drought-stricken farmers in our region on a number of different occasions in the short time he was in the job.

“He helped support and fundraise for the Liberal Party in Polwarth and he was a great advocate for our region.

“We look forward to our new leader Jess Wilson continuing that support.”
