Recently the dairy giant provided funding for a portable generator for the Cobden Rotary Club which will be used alongside the club’s barbecue van and mini golf events.

Fonterra Cobden representatives Lynda Whitehead and Jozzy Bevin met with Cobden Rotary’s Gary Kimber to celebrate the generator's purchase.

Mr Kimber expressed his gratitude on behalf of Cobden Rotary, emphasizing the importance of Fonterra’s involvement in the community.

“I would like to thank Fonterra for its generous donation,” he said.

“It is wonderful to see how supportive they are of community groups like ours, and I hope we can continue to partner together into the future.”

Ms Bevin said Fonterra was committed to supporting local community groups, like Cobden Rotary, because they play a vital role in keeping regional communities strong.

“We take pride in the work that we do with our local communities, and we’re pleased to be able to contribute, albeit in a small way, to the great efforts of Rotary,” she said.

“Our hope is that the wider community can reap the benefits and enjoy the positive impact of this partnership.”
