Schafer leads championship

TYLER Schafer’s form on the golf course continues in 2025, with the Mortlake member currently leading the club’s A grade championship.

Schafer currently sits on 82-81-81 (244) to hold top spot above Clint Baker, 82-82-83 (247).

B grade is currently led by Ben Boers on 91-89-88 (268) from second-placed Les Dawson 83-94-94 (271).

Last Saturday’s stroke (third round of club championships) was won by Richard van Diemen on 16-87-71 from Tyler Schafer 9-81-72

Nearest the pins: 3/12 and 9/18 Ben Boers, 6/15 Hamish Weatherly.

Balls down the line: Hamish Weatherly, Clint Baker, Rob Field, Kevin Etherton, Peter Palmer, Ben Boers and Merv Hampson.

New member: Aaron Davies.

Next week’s event will be stroke and the final round of the championships.
