Strong field at Terang

A STRONG field of 33 players contested the stableford competition at Terang golf course last weekend.

Saturday’s A grade competition was won by Phil Beasley (+1) 36 points on countback from runner-up Barry Stonehouse (14) 36.

B grade was won by Geoff Nuske (17) 37 points on countback from Michael Heffernan (19) 37.

Balls down the line went to Chris Coolahan (19) 37, Leo Besley (8) 36, Nigel Bruckner (7) 36 and Terry Coolahan (19) 35.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Cate Glennon, 6th Terry Beasley and 11th Mark Couzens.

Last Sunday’s stableford saw George Beasley (scratch) win the 18 holes on 35 points, followed by Josh Brown (scratch) 34.

An eagle went to Josh Brown on the 10th hole.

This weekend will be stableford both days.
