Success at western district pennant
TERANG Golf Club was well represented in the finals of the Western District Golf Association (WDGA) pennant last weekend.

The finals, which were played at the Warrnambool Golf Club last Sunday, was well attended by not only players but also supporters.
Terang’s division three handicap team defeated Hamilton Golf Club 3-2.
Congratulations to team members Colin Venn (who won his match 2 and 1), Paddy O’Connor (lost 2 and 1), Max Kavanagh (lost 2 and 1), Paddy Scanlon (won his first ever pennant match 2 and 1) and Nick Marshall (won 4 and 2).
Terang division one scratch lost to Warrnambool Golf Club 4.5 matches to 2.5.
The team comprised Phil Beasley (lost two down), Fred Beasley (won 2 and 1), Leo Beasley (lost 1 down), Josh Brown (all square after 18), Liam Venn (lost 4 and 5), James Kenna (lost 4 and 5) and Riley Scanlon (won 2 up).
The Terang ladies pennant team played its final on Monday (results not known prior to publication).
Last Saturday’s stableford round at Terang attracted a field of 20 players.
The winner was Jason Karney (20 handicap) on 37 points, followed by Mark Couzens (2) 36.
Balls down the line went to Terry Coolahan (19) 34 and Peter Hrabar (19) 33 on countback.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Jenny Meade, 6th Ged Justin and 8th Martin Wynd.
Next Saturday will be stableford.
