Super Saturday for Magpies
CAMPERDOWN kick off their season tomorrow with a ‘Super Saturday’ home fixture at the Leura Oval against Terang Mortlake.

Clinton Thomas heads into his second season in charge of the Magpies’ senior football program, with his youthful team hoping to build on a seventh-placed finish in last season’s Hampden league competition.
The Magpies have added Griff Dwyer, a big bodied athletic defender from University Blues, and defender Bailey Thompson from Queensland club Sherwood Districts.
Prior to playing in Queensland Thompson had played junior football at Beaufort and senior football at Skipton.
Camperdown also has a host of returning players, with Dom Absalom back after a year at Colac and District FNL club Western Eagles, Tommy Baker back after a stint at Barwon Heads, and brothers Jake and Isaac Fowler returning from Woorndoo Mortlake.
While one Bailey Thompson comes in, a Bayley Thompson goes out, as the forward who kicked 25 goals at senior level in 2025 returns to his original club in the Timboon Demons.
Other big losses for Camperdown include playmaker Hamish Sinnott who has headed to Geelong Football League club South Barwon and talented teenager Albie Cheeseman who will line up with Ballarat Football League outfit East Point.
