Students Edward Delaney, Millie Castersen, Elizabeth Flavell, Tahnee Sachs and Jackenzie and Summer Sharp all swam well, with outstanding results and personal bests.

The March 26 swim meet attracted a strong field of entrants from across the western district.

Jackenzie won her 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke events, while Summer finished first in the 50m breastroke, backstroke and freestyle events.

Both girls have now qualified to compete in the SSV State Championships in Melbourne on Thursday, May 1.

Millie, Tahnee and Lizzie all competed in their first regional swimming championship and showed great improvement from district level.

Competing in the girls’ 16 year freestyle relay, Tahnee, Lizzie, Millie and Jackenzie swam a great race to finish fourth.

Many thanks to the parents and grandparents who drove the team to Horsham and supported them throughout the day.
