Terang table tennis commences

THE 2026 Terang Table Tennis season has started with seven two player teams. The association welcomed back former players Paul Healey, Paul Weston and Leanne McDowell, while Rob Herry joins as a first time player.


Teams have been selected on seedings of players' perceived ability.

Total Tools defeated Lefties 3-2 with Tyler Smith and sub Peter Mania winning a singles game each and combining to win the doubles.

Leanne McDowell had a big battle with Tyler, winning a close match in five games 14-12, 7-11, 6-11, 11-7 and 13-11.

Leanne won both her singles games.

Snapper@Crofts also won 3-2 against Nelson.

Sub Dan Galea and Paul Healey both won a singles game each and combined to win the doubles in four games.

Trevor McDowell won both his singles for Nelson.

Young at Heart defeated Rob Markable 4-1.

Colin Venn won both his singles and the doubles with Pat Nicholson.

Venn also had a good battle against Michael Person who was subbing for Mark Smith.

Pat Nicholson won a singles match while Michael Pearson won a singles game for the losers.

The association is always on the lookout for additional players, players wishing to be subs would be much appreciated.
