The Timboon P-12 School year eight student polled 41 votes to win from Birregurra’s Luella Hutchinson and Colac Imperials Zoe Mitchell who tied for second on 31 votes.

“It was a real surprise to win, I’m pretty stunned but really happy,” Crole said.

Crole plays centre in the Tigers 15 and under team, while also making her A grade debut in round one, playing 15 games at the top level, mainly playing wing attack.

“It was fantastic to play at that level and good to get used to how fast and hard they play.”

Crole thanked her coaches at Simpson, 15 and under coach Jade Sambell and A grade coach Emily Duynhoven.

“Jade has been really supportive, Emily has really helped make the move to A grade netball a good enjoyable move,” Crole said.

Crole also thanked Simpson and her family for their support.

Simpson’s 15 and under team was one of the club’s most successful teams in 2025, winning the elimination final before bowing out with a semi-final loss to Lorne.

“We had a really good year but it was very disappointing to lose in the second week.”

As a bottom ager in her first year out of 13 and under netball, the 2025 Tigers vice-captain is looking forward to another competitive year of 15 and under netball.

“We will have a few go up (to 17 and under netball) but we will have a good team next year and hopefully can go further,” she said.
