Top night for harness action
HARNESS racing enthusiasts enjoyed a top quality program at the Terang track earlier this week.

Monday night’s meet again attracted a strong crowd to the track, with more than 140 people enjoying a meal in the club’s dining room throughout the evening.
According to club president Chris O’Connor, race three was one of the night’s highlights with several local horses in the mix.
“Race three was the feature event and certainly provided some great racing,” O’Connor said.
“The winner, Browniesatmidnight, came home very quickly ahead of a quality field.
“He just pipped Matt Craven’s All Blazing Guns while the run of the race came from Sweet Ideal who came from last into the home straight, was swept up on the inside and finished third.
“Owned and trained by Camperdown’s Daryl Lawlor, he is certainly one to follow.”
O’Connor praised all those who attended this week’s meeting, held on what was a cold and frosty evening.
Results from the night’s program were as follows:
Race one (Wheelie Waste Trot) – winner Jack Sprat (trained by E. and R.J. Bronson and driven by Emmett Brosnan).
Race two (AJ&M Automotive Centre Pace) – winner Amphijet (Robert McCartney/Jason Lee).
Race three (Greg Allan Farm Machinery Pace) – winner Browniesatmidnight (M.A. and P.D. Lee/Lochie Cook).
Race four (WA Molan and Sons Maiden Pace) – winner Soho Hudson (Michael Stanley/Michael Stanley).
Race five (Terang Coop Rural Store Maiden Trot) – Aldebaran Anton (Jim Barker/Jackie Barker).
Race six (WBK Building Pace) – winner Keayang Hollywood (M.A. and P.D. Lee/Jason Lee).
Emmett Brosnan also took home the title of Driver of the Night.
The final meeting of this current season will be a day event, to be held on Wednesday, June 25.
