Tough finals for Power

IT was a tough weekend of finals for Kolora-Noorat, losing all four games across football and netball.

The Power’s under 18 footballers are finished for the year after a 5.5.35 to 3.2.20 loss to Timboon in the first semi-final at Allansford.

Kolora-Noorat led by six points at half time but were held scoreless in the second half.

Oscar Ritchie, Ted Kenna, Eitan Brooks, Ben Whytcross, Xavier Riches and Paddy Scanlon were Kolora-Noorat’s best in the loss.

Riley Kelly kicked two goals and Damon Anders one for the Power.

Kolora-Noorat’s A reserve netballers are also out after their 28-24 loss to Allansford in the first semi-final.

Steph Jenkins and Grace Lee were best for the Power, with Lee scoring 17 goals and Eliza Smith six.

In the 15 and under netball first semi, Timboon had a 30-23 win over the Power.

The Power led by two goals at the last change, with the Demons scoring 11 goals to two in the final quarter to get the win.

Isla Spokes, Harriot Riches and Nikaiah Murfett were best for Kolora-Noorat, with Riches scoring 12 goals and Zoe Roberts 11.

In the 13 and under netball second semi, Kolora-Noorat had a 25-11 loss to Timboon.

Quinn Thomas, Tilli Hutchins and Syriah Guy were best for the Power, with Skyla Coburn scoring six goals.

The 13 and under Power are the club’s last remaining team in the finals and will play Russells Creek in this week’s preliminary final.
