V/Line performance remains on track

A STRONG run of reliability and punctuality continued along the Warrnambool Line throughout April, with both performance targets again having been met.

The Warrnambool Line recorded 97.6 per cent for reliability in April, exceeding the 96 per cent monthly reliability target.

The line also recorded a punctuality result of 94.6 per cent in April, exceeding the 92 per cent monthly punctuality target.

The result marks the 13th time in the past 14 months in which the Warrnambool Line has reached both punctuality and reliability monthly targets.

A V/Line spokesperson said trains have also now returned to the line following a series of upgrade works at level crossings.

“The Warrnambool Line recorded more than 97 per cent for reliability with more than 94 per cent of trains arriving on time,” the spokesperson said.

“Trains have resumed following an upgrade to the stabling yard at Warrnambool Station and annual maintenance works.

“We thank passengers for their patience during this time.”

Coaches replaced trains on the Warrnambool Line from Saturday, April 11 until May 13 while crews completed track upgrades and maintenance works along the Geelong and Warrnambool lines, including the Warrnambool Stabling Yard.
